Welcome to the Preston Lakes Community website!

Preston Lakes is a community of 225 single family homes located in West Plano, a suburb north of Dallas, Texas. The community was developed in 2005-2009 by custom home builders K. Hovanian and Toll Brothers and is located between Parker Rd and Tulane Drive on both the east and west sides of of Ohio. Zero lot line homes are located on the west side of Ohio. Executive lot homes are located on the east side of Ohio from Tulane Drive to Meadow Ridge Drive. The estate lots are situated between Meadow Ridge and Parker Road on the east side of Ohio. There are walking paths, a community pool, a pond with a fountain, several common areas, two playgrounds and a historical landmark. The architectural design and theme throughout the neighborhood is traditional with rock and stone elevations, mostly wood stained garage doors, wood fences at the back and sides of the property and iron fences at the front of all homes and adjacent to common areas. Landscaped yards feature stone and either aggregate or stamped concrete drives and walks. All of the homes have trees creating a lovely ambiance with plenty of green views out of the homes' windows.

This location is highly sought for its quick access to three tollways: George Bush Tollway, the Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway as well as Hwy 75. This proximity allows for an easy commute into Dallas, to both DFW Airport and Dallas Love Field and many other destinations. It is also a few short minutes from the Legacy/Dallas North Tollway/Sam Rayburn Tollway area that boasts corporate campuses such as Toyota, Liberty Mutual, Federal Express, HP/EDS, Frito Lay, J.C. Penney, Sterling Software, Countrywide, Beal Bank, Ericsson, Computer Associates, McAfee, Intuit, Dr Pepper and more. SMU also has a campus for higher education located on Tennyson.

Within a short 3-15 minute drive, residents can find themselves shopping or eating at many popular locations inlcuding the Park and Preston area, the Shops at Willowbend, Shops at Legacy, Legacy West and Stonebriar Mall featuring popular retailers and restaurants for all tastes and budgets. The location is near many entertainment venues such as Pinstack, Top Golf, Dr. Pepper Ballpark-Frisco Roughriders, The Star--home of the Dallas Cowboys, Toyota Stadium--home of FC Dallas Soccer Club, Comerica Center--home of the Texas Legends Basketball Team and Texas Tornado Hockey Club and more.

The City of Plano offers many recreational facilities and libraries including the Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center which is about 5 minutes away. This 83,845 square foot facility, located just west of Plano West Senior High School, boasts amenities such as an outdoor leisure pool, 25-yard indoor swimming pool, indoor warm water leisure pool with extensive water features, aquatic classroom for meetings/classes/parties, double gymnasium, exercise/dance studio, indoor and outdoor walking/jogging tracks, wi-fi access, game room, arts & crafts classroom, and youth fitness equipment, flexible multi-purpose space, and a community lobby with lounge, wi-fi access, television and food service. The Plano Sport Authority is also about 5 minutes away and offers sports leagues for children.

Preston Lakes is located in the award winning Plano Independent School District. The schools zoned for this neighborhood are highly rated and include Hightower Elementary, Frankford Middle School, Shepton High School and Plano West Senior High School. Additionally, there are many highly rated and highly sought private schools in Plano and near Plano.

There are several ways to receive communications related to the Preston Lakes Community. Homeowners: login in to www.prestonlakesplano.com for community information, news, events, document portal, online directory, MACC requests, and HOA updates. The Preston Lakes Newsletter will no longer be mailed to each homeowner of record; the newsletter will be emailed to each homeowner of record and posted on the Preston Lakes Plano website.

Important: To be sure you are notified of Preston Lakes communications: Login to the website at www.prestonlakesplano.com. Under Account Info > My Profile > click the Communication tab > under Email Notification Preferences > turn on Broadcast Emails. (This setting pertains to email blasts initiated by your Association Management Company such as the newsletters and important notifications.)

Join us for Creek Cleanup Saturday February 13, 2027!

Join us on Saturday February 13, 2027 from10:00 AM until NOON! Your Preston Lakes Neighbors along with our neighbors from Central Park to the west and Preston Village from the north, will clean up trash and dead foliage to keep the water running and the area beautiful!

Meet on Altessa in Preston Lakes--West of Ohio at the greenbelt. The City of Plano will provide all the supplies such as trash bags, pickup tongs, and gloves. The Preston Lakes will provide bottled water and DONUTS.

REMINDER-MACC Approval Required before Completing ANY Exterior Improvement or Project

MACC Request Forms must be submitted for approval prior to beginning ANY exterior project, including landscaping when changing types and locations of plantings, adding hardscapes such as rock or pergolas. If in doubt, err on the side of submitting a request.

Water My Yard Online Resource

This tool was developed through a partnership with the North Texas Municipal Water District and Texas A&M AgriLife. The Water My Yard program has been designed to assist in determining an adequate amount of supplemental water that is needed to maintain a healthy lawn. It only takes a few short steps to begin receiving automated emails or text-messages to know how much water your landscape actually requires based on local weather conditions and precipitation. A healthy yard needs less water than you may think.
